Family Learning & Events

The Family Learning programme at Heathland consists of a variety of workshops held for parents and carers throughout the academic year by different groups of people

There are classes held by outside agencies, such as Harrow College, which promote adult learning. Their aim is to raise the profile of teaching in a number of areas, providing parents with more confidence and support to assist their children with learning at home. A crèche is available upon request for the convenience of those parents and carers who are keen to participate in workshops. We are proud of our provision for family learning and will continue to ensure it attracts more parents for the betterment of the school.

A Parent Support Group is currently being run by Lyndy Toogood who is a trained Parenting Tutor from Harrow.

Lyndy is running a ‘Letters and Sounds’ course. A FREE fun course for parents/ carers of our Reception Children. Come along and find out how you can support your child’s learning at home.

Sessions will be held each Wednesday from 9.00 – 11.00 am, 10th January to 7th February and a crèche is provided free of charge.

We look forward to seeing you.
