The Whitefriars Heathland Federation is a multi-academy trust comprising of Heathland and Whitefriars Schools in Harrow. Heathland School is a 3-11 primary school judged to be outstanding by Ofsted 2010 and 2014. It is UNICEF accredited level to Rights Respecting School as well as being nationally accredited as a ‘Thinking School’ and an ‘Eco School’. Its performance is in the top 1.5% of schools nationally.

In recognition of the Federation’s Outstanding leadership (Ofsted 2010,2012,2014) and high performance, the government funded a new £16 million pound building so Whitefrairs could launch a secondary section in 2015 and expand to be a 3-19 through-school with sixth form.

We are seeking to recruit an Upper KS2 classroom teacher who as well as sharing our values based ethos, can create a dynamic classroom culture where pupils’ positivity engages them actively in the process of learning and enables them to explore what learning is.

Teaching Assistant
Initially Early Years Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1
Contract: Fixed term (with the possibility of being made permanent)
Hours: 8.30am – 3.15pm, term time only (39 weeks)
Actual Salary: £13044

We are seeking to recruit a teaching assistant who as well as sharing our values based ethos, can create a dynamic classroom culture where pupils’ positivity engages them actively in the process of learning and enables them to explore what learning is.

The post will initially be based in our Early Years where we are looking for someone who:

It would be desirable for the successful applicant to have GSCE qualifications for English and Maths (level A-C) and also to have had experience in early years.

Welfare Assistant
Contract: Fixed term (with the possibility of being made permanent)
Hours: 8.30am – 3.15pm, 45 minutes lunch, term time only (39 weeks)
Actual Salary: £13044

We are looking for a pro-active and caring person to provide medical and welfare services for children and staff and be the first point of contact for first aid and medical matters within the school. Responsibilities will include caring for pupils who are unwell and liaising with their parents; maintaining accurate and confidential records; monitoring tracking and reporting on medical information; and liaising with office staff to ensure SIMS pupil data is up to date.

Additional paediatric First Aid training along with diabetic training would be useful. You will have excellent inter-personal and communication skills and up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare and safety of pupils.
