Clubs

We believe extra-curricular activities play a very important role in the life of our pupils and of the school. We, therefore, offer a variety of clubs for our pupils to join and enjoy after school. In addition, many of our students also learn a musical instrument.

Once the children have joined a club they are expected to attend regularly. Some of the clubs only run at certain times of the year. Please see the table below for the current clubs.

Two weeks before the start of a new club the children will receive a letter inviting them to join. It is important when filling in the permission slips for these clubs that parents give up to date contact details and indicate who will collect the child or whether they have permission to walk home alone (Year 6 only). Unfortunately, without this information we will not be able to put your child forward for a club.

Places are limited in clubs and you will receive notification of your child’s place the week before the club begins.

Staff give up their time after school to enhance the curriculum in this way and because of this the highest standards of behaviour are required within all clubs. Outside providers will from time to time run clubs that provide specialist teaching and they are aware of the school expectations and will also work within the guidelines of our policies.
